I stopped reading when the implication was the devil made priest fuck young children.

Father Gabriele Amorth said "Sex abuse scandals which have engulfed the Church in the US, Ireland, Germany and other countries, were proof that the Anti-Christ was waging a war against the Holy See"

Unbelievable that they are so weak they cannot accept the responsibility for their own actions. It's like listening to 5 year olds.
One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know", Alice answered. "Then", said the cat, "It doesn't matter.”

A poll on one of the Belgian news sites:

Do you believe in the devil?

Yes, he exists. - 23 %
No, he does not exist. - 66 %
I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. - 11 %

Number of participants in the poll: 22 444

:palm:

It might be easy to laugh it away, but i do want to repeat here that this is all very real:
the poll, the article, ... it's all real. It's reality. Once you really grasp that, the only thing left is :bawl:

The Devil is the first thing i thought was a lie in my religious education. I figured that we carried a shard of God in all our hearts and that the devil was simply us doing stupid things. And before you criticize remember i was around eight or nine at the time.

H3RM3S: Why would you think anyone would criticize you? Your experience is proof that a child who is well equiped to think for its self, will begin picking apart the nonesense that religion feeds it. :)
"If we go back to the beginnings of things, we shall always find that ignorance and fear created the gods; that imagination, rapture and deception embellished them; that weakness worships them; that custom spares them; and that tyranny favours them in order to profit from the blindness of men."

"What has been said of [God] is either unintelligible or perfectly contradictory; and for this reason must appear impossible to every man of common sense." ~ Paul-Henri baron d'Holbach
